love it so far
Okay granted I've had it for a day but still :) So far it really blows out heat, however the fan is super quiet especially for the amount of heat and air it puts out. I bought it on a trailer sale at a Tractor Supply Co for 350 with a 5 year warranty that also covers lifetime bulb replacement. According to the salesman when asked how does Comfort furnace compare to Edenpure he says CF produced the Edenpures until they had a disagreement over the bulbs comfort furnace uses. CF updated their bulbs to have a cool looking steel disbursal wrapped around the bulb whereas Edenpure basically has a regular lookin infrared bulb. It heated my drafty 1974 11x32 ft trailer pretty well by itself. Inside temp was about 67 outside about 30ish. I had previously bought a Lasko Cyclone heater from WalMart cos people said itd heat that small of space pretty well. Nope.I'd recommend the comfort furnaces over the other brands because It does what it says does. My grams and great aunt have edenpures and...
Plug and cord started melting
I just read the first review. I purchased this furnace, but in the oak case. I also purchased it from Tractor Supply Company (TSC). We noticed that the outlet this was plugged into had burn marks on it. We then looked at the cord. The plug was singed and the cord was melting. I called customer service. They don't honor their warranty too well. All they would do was replace the cord, not the actually furnace, but I had to pay for shipping. They were not too concerned about the fire risk. Tractor Supply took the unit back, refunded our money and even gave us a new outlet. This is not their product, but they were more concerned about happened and provided excellent customer service. I can't say anything good about the manufacturer.
finally warm
I purchased this as a present to myself to help lower my winter heating bill. I rely less on my gas heater and more on this to assist with warming my large living area. so far- love it
