Bionaire BCH7302 Oscillating Ceramic Tower Heater Eco-Smart Feature For Energy Efficient Heating

A Little Disappointed
Compact, quiet, clean heat. The oscillating feature is very nice. I would have rated it 5 stars but for one thing: it has a temp setting and supposedly a thermostat so the unit can be set from 65 to 85 degrees in 5 degree increments. It flat doesn't work. I can set it for 65 degrees and it will just keep putting out heat until the room is 80 degrees. Called Bionaire and they told me it's defective. They offered to replace it for free which is nice, but "not until September. Heater season is over. Call us back in September."

Thermostat isnot reliable
It does heat the room, but the thermostat isn't reliable. Not only inaccurate, it also stops functioning entirely if left on one settings for too long. We bought a different heater and this is now our backup.

Bionaire Ceramic Mini-Tower Heater with LCD Control

Effective localized heater with bells and whistles
I bought this model heater from Costco. My only previous experience with space heaters is the radiating dish, and couple of no frill ones in 1990s.

This one delivers heat within 10 seconds of powering on. Temperature can be controlled (85 degree seems to be the max and 65 the minimum). The unit has a swivel base supports 90 degree oscillation. There is a fan mode and an "Eco smart" mode, which supposedly help save some electricity.

The unit is rated 1500 watts. I can veryify with a watt-meter. Upong starting up, it can go as high as 1800 watts, but gradually stabilized somewhere around 1450 for high heat or custom temperature setting, and around 800 watts for low heat. The energy savings mode cycles back and forth between high and low heat, but I haven't been able to get an average reading from my watt meter.

The fan is not quiet, but not loud either. It's constant and soothing enough which can be treated as background white noise.

Overall...

Broke twice
My daughter purchased this at Costco for me for Christmas. The oscillating feature stopped working in just 2 weeks. Returned to Costco for replacement as I really liked the heating (I type all day for work). A few times I have noticed a burnt smell and turned the heater to low. Today while working, I turned to high and within 5 minutes heard a terrible sizzling sound and now no heat on any cycle. Hopefully Costco will give us our money back.

Disappointed
I bought this at Costco about 2 weeks ago and it has worked 2 nights total. I have tried switching plugs, outlets, a more level location, unplugging it, reset it, nothing has worked. I'm in the process of returning it, not sure whether to return to Bionaire or Costco. Bionaire will replace with another similar heater, I'm concerned Costco will just give me another one of these.

Bionaire BFH3520-U Digital Convertible Tower Heater

Noise level
The noise level when this product was on was blocking the sound from the TV in the same room....much too noisy to have in the house....it was taken back to the store for a quieter model from a different manufacturer.

Loud... WHAT? LOUD!
My furnace went out this weekend and nobody was open with the part in stock so I went down to the store and picked up one of these babys from a local merchant to get by until Monday. To be brief, its going back. I have a Lasko tower unit that was running in the other room about 12 feet away and sitting next to the Lasko I could hear the Bionaire over it. Just hope I can sleep with it running in my room.

DO NOT BUY THIS HEATER
i went to the local Home Improvement store and purchased this heater. This heater is really loud i could not sleep with it in the room needless to say i packed it up and took it back
